East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground is operated by the Hall family, who are passionate about clay pigeon shooting. Rob and his late father shot DTL for England for many years. In 2004, Rob turned his shooting interest into a successful business, opening The Gun Room shooting and county clothing shop which is now located at Holme Upon Spalding Moor, 8 miles from the M62.
To enhance their shooting business, all the Hall family were missing was a shooting ground. The opportunity arose in 2019 to take on an existing ground on the East Yorkshire Gun Club site, near Beverley. The site has a rich shooting heritage, hosted many significant competitions and produced many top shooters which now includes Rob’s daughter, Lucy Hall who shoots Olympic Trap for Great Britain.
As a CPSA Premier Ground, East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground holds weekly registered competitions, alongside daily practice. ‘Have a go’ packages are available for those who want to try clay pigeon shooting for the first time and tuition is available for shooters who want to improve. Add to that Talent ID days and athlete training camps run by British Shooting to develop the next Olympic shooters. East Yorkshire Clay shooting ground caters for all.
